Dr Summer Abdel-Megeed joined Foothills Medical Center in September 2010. We were happy to add an internal medicine specialist to our multi-specialty practice. Dr Summer, as her patients prefer to call her, brought an important addition to our medical center; infusion therapy. Patients who are treated with remicade, reclast, IV boniva and other intravenous medications, may receive their infusions on site. The addition of on-site infusion therapy to our already existing physical therapy, imaging and laboratory facilities, as well as our Pain Management Clinic lead by Dr Delahoussaye, allows for a comprehensive holistic approach to managing arthritis and pain disorders.
Dr Summer graduated from George Washington University '03, Washington, D.C. and completed her residency in Baltimore, Maryland. She is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing in New Mexico since 2006. She has a strong interest in rheumatology and geriatrics, but enjoys all aspects of medicine for adults including preventative care, women's health and the management of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. |
